I'm glad you carry anything, it's amazing how many don't.
The reason I avoid petroleum products is because they also block air depriving a wound of a key natural healing element. Neosporin in particular provides a stronger barrier and is often medicated.
Either product is better than leaving most wounds dry and both have their benefits, really it's a matter of preference.
