I personally agree with the idea of a blood born pathogens kit, but that would be for CPR certified persons. Part of their training includes what type of kit they would want to carry. Blood clotting packs can be harmful, your better off field dressing and seeking medical attention.

Yes they are. For those that don't know. The clotting bandage has to be surgically removed. But it beats the alternative. Use one as a last resort.
