Like he said with 17" offset's are your biggest problem. However for any custom wheel shop it shouldn't be difficult for them to deal with it.

Pro: Aside from weight, cheaper & more choice of tyres.
Pro: You can reduce wheel circumference which will increase your acceleration but reduce your top speed in each gear.

Con: Will your front brakes fit?
Con: If you stagger 18" on front & 17" on rear you'll create a nose up stance, which will need a coilover height adjustment & maybe even an alignment.
