Can anyone shed light on this? The dealer said that this is normal.

I am wondering if ordering a USA Spec car with a manual transmission might be the problem. Or missing components from either the M Sport or Executive Packages.

Thanks

The bad news is your car was caught up in the knee airbag recall that is affecting all 2020 2-series and 4-series cars. A “no sale” has been placed on them until the fix is made. The good news is that the fix will be applied to cars at the factory before anywhere else. My M4 arrived at my dealership the day after the recall went out, so who knows how long it will take to get parts distributed to individual dealers. The latest info I’ve seen says parts start arriving on the 27th. Not surprised BMWUSA didn’t have any info. They have been particularly unhelpful.
