I read on an Australian car website that Apple CarPlay is coming later this year but wont be available at the initial launch of the LCI 3 GT.

I read somewhere that all cars equipped with idrive 5 will have car play or be able to retro
M2 2017 July build will have id5 but you can retro at not cost in August
