Not sure how close the computer would be to the router, if it is close I would connect with a CAT6 cable like mentioned above. If it is further you could do one of two things.

1.) Use a powerful wireless card with external antena's, I used an ASUS one before I wired up. The most recent the wireless standard the better (assuming your router can use that standard) otherwise the highest standard your router can use. Most routers these days are AC. You can get a decent one for £40-£50.

I used this one as you can move the antenna's rather than being stuck against a wall and the PC.

2.) Use a homeplug to effectively wire it but this can be limiting on speed depending on the overall speed of the network. Good homeplugs can be more expensive but can be more stable.
