I've done a couple of my own repairs on machine polished wheels. The problem has never been the finish. but finding a decent clear coat that's hard enough. When I've had them done in the past by smart repair outfits. They always add Rocket hardener to the clear coat.The normal stuff available from motor stores ain't up to much.
