I opted for R1 Ceramic pads (much cheaper) for this issue and am pretty happy with them. Only issue is an initial squeal when cold until they warm up with a couple stops. I have heard better things about the Akebono's.
But this is about the M Perf brakes though. And your post is sort of exactly what many dealers and resellers have told me where some of them don't even realize that there IS M perf brake set, and give replies that it will fit the M sport brakes.
