I don't know what you have been listening to, maybe the N20 but certainly not the B48. The engine is quiet and refined. In fact it is the same modular engine as the 340i but with two cylinders less, and no fake engine noises pumped through the speakers....not noisy at all.  |
Not what I recall, sorry. They sounded a lot more tappety which at certain revs gave it a diesel like noise somehow.
The 3l lump ever sounds like Diesel, ever...
