So it sounds like we can likewise expect the N57 models coming soon to North America to be rebranded *35d as well (as the 335d is in Japan like someone mentioned earlier).
I am glad we are getting diesels, and in more models than ever. So don't get me wrong. For some folks these are just what the doctor ordered. But I am not interested in sacrificing performance as compared to gasoline models - not just from BMW but from other manufacturers as well. The rebadging only adds insult to injury.
It is ironic that, just as BMW is starting to shoot for power/performance parity between similarly numbered diesel and gasoline models in the ROW, we get just the opposite.
