Easy is a relative term. USB activation is no longer available with the latest idrive firmware.
If the dealer updates you with these patches, a software tamper code will be logged similar to an ecu map and transmitted to Germany.
Best bet is buy the FSC code through BMW. Pay a little more and have it done properly. Then activate full screen via the patch. Worst case I'd you will loose full screen with a dealer update and have to reapply it. |
