Do you guys also have very loud rattle at cold start? I have rattle every time I start the car and it lasts as long as cold start sequence so something like two minutes. It does not sound nice so I would like to fix it but I have not found definitive answer if it's really a wastegate or something else.
I've tried to hear where it's coming from but it's hard to say. It sounds like it's coming below the car and that's why I'm wondering if there is something loose in exhaust system? I don't hear any rattle when I'm driving but then again the rattle is not audible inside the car anyway. I only hear it if door or window is open.
Like you would probably guess, the dealer has no idea what it could be... I have tried to keep the wastegate actuator at still by hand but that doesn't make any difference in rattle. But I guess the rattling is happening inside the turbo anyway, right?
