How closely the iNext concept reflects that future production car remains to be seen. Both i4 and I20 should be expected around 2021. In other words, I can confirm the AutoExpress report here: https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/bmw/10...stream-in-2021
That’s extremely disappointing news!

The i01 is so genuine and well though out, with the production, fabric, carbon chassis - everything is built from the ground up as an EV. Now BMW is jumping ship and using the cheap easy way, and it is basically a very bad idea.

It’s like trying to manufacture a great ICE vehicle from an EV body. It’s just a half-baked project, and the only advantage is saving some money. Everything else is suffering.

Even the small company, Jaguar, has made an EV from the ground up, the I-PACE.
But BMW is just not in it. It’s the kind of behavior I expect from French or Chinese car manufacturers, not BMW.

Do it right, or don’t do it at all! You began so well with the EV future, now you’re stalling and wasting time.
