There's really no comparison between the two. If you want the cheap route, use plasti dip. It "might" look good for a month or so but you'll be on borrowed time after that. Looks cheap and kiddish in my opinion.

The right way to change your wheel color would be professional paint or powder coat with powder coat being the preferred method as its MUCH more durable than paint.

I paid $440 for a set of factory 18" to get done in a satin black. I used a company called All American Powder Coat that has been in business for 25+ years (Sacramento).

Be careful on places with super low prices but also dont let yourself get hosed either. $500 seems to be the sweet spot depending on the size of wheels and color chosen.
