The software update relates to integrating new components such as a new EGR into the car, and any quality enhancements (software patches) that BMW has released.
The iiDrive won't be fundamentally amended, i.e. going from V4 to V5 or V5 to V6. |

Yep. Remap would need to be reapplied.
