I feel like that wouldn't be the best idea but if you don't get any definitive responses and want to try it, test it on a small section that's not too obvious.
What's your general wash procedure? We have hard water outside as well but I've been able to avoid getting any water spots. I do a 2 bucket method but I make sure to keep the entire wet throughout the wash and dry by hand. I also apply a layer of Meguir's Hybrid Ceramic Spray after every wash which helps a tonne
