gapping/swapping plugs will help with that as well. it's likely the knock is causing your timing pull. i had the same thing but after gapping my plugs (and switching to the e30 tune) it's pretty much solved.
i think we have something over cylinder 1 that could be affecting timing. i've read that the pcv is over cylinder 1, so that can affect timing due to blow by. but i need to do more research to see if that's really the case.
