Totally agree about the touch-up paint. I felt it left brush stokes until i put it on thicker w/ several layers & then sanded down smooth. Came out okay, not what I had dreamed for by any stretch.
Do you recall what grit sandpaper you used?

This is going to sound ridiculous, but based on friend who works at a body shop, I used fine rubbing compound -- heck of a lot, but didn't have to worry as much about deep scratches
