If you lower with the likes of the Eibach pro kit springs; you'll not end up too low; they've lowered my F31 to the ride height I wanted (ie even all round) and about 10-15mm MAX
My local rural/country/unloved roads are horrific at times; so going any lower/dropping onto coilovers was soon ruled out...
I can clear high speed humps without issues still and the car takes the rough roads/potholes (when unavoidable) much better than the OEM suspension did; however, it was original 2015. So anything new is always going to better that!
