Invoice price is $40,110 on the base 328i, with no options. The only options I wanted on my 328i was the Sportline package, which brought the total invoice pricing to $41,490. I also signed up with unhaggle to get the invoice numbers (they are also posted in various places on this forum, so it was quite helpful to do a search), which I then used as a basis for negotiations.
All said, the dealer quoted me $42,490 + taxes.

With the 328i spec'd the way I wanted, MSRP was $45,100. This represents a 6% savings from MSRP. Also, my dealer didn't have the car on the lot, so they would need to order it in.
