Are you sure it has not been damaged, causing the corrosion?
I see that the second link you mention is the wheel I had replaced.

Yeh it's a genuine bmw dealer (Sycamore Peterborough).
No damage to any of the wheels what so ever.
I showed the links to the dealer to make my case stronger. I'll see what they say back tomorrow.
