BMW is promising to reimburse for recent EGR cooler-related failures. US dealers have no parts and a technical service bulletin on the recall says "no repair is possible at this time" due to parts availability. My local dealer (BMW Southpoint) cancelled my repair appointment without telling me, so the car is parked. I just bought a used cooler from the UK on ebay.
