As previously mentioned the part ranges from $80-100 depending on your bmw dealer (I got mine for about half from the US). There are a range of special tools required depending on how professionally you want to do this. The basic removal/install tool you can get on eBay from the UK but its not cheap with the shipping (approx $70).
I was fortunate and my local indy mechanic in Canberra had all the specialist gear required. It was $440 of labour. They also did a wheel alignment afterwards (unsure if necessary). |

Hi, Thanks for that. I did get an indy quote in Sydney for coincidentally the same price. They said they had the special tools to set/measure the fitment. I wanted to see what the dealer would charge and have so far made 6 calls to two different dealers, still waiting for a quote!
The wheel alignment after sounds like a reasonable precaution.
