I went back and forth in my head about wrapping the TIC before i installed it. I decided against it, based on the assumption that the air coming out of the turbo was hotter than the TIC and the surrounding air. So, wrapping it would actually be counter productive.
Also stock TIC isnt plastic, its rubber like a radiator hose but very thin (with metal ends).
