That's wrong, they are zinc coated. Ofcourse theres no coating after use.The brake pads wipe it off completely. My pagid rotors are coated, even the aluminum hub. The dimples still rust out.
Picture of the m performance rotors when new. You can clearly see the rotor is coated (except for the bare aluminium hub)

I just repeated what he told me about his dimpled rotors not being zinc coated, and what I saw with rust in all of the dimple holes. Brake pads wipe any coating off the rotor surface but how could a flat pad surface possibly wipe the zinc coating out of dimpled holes? Doesn't make sense.
