While I agree with point 2 I don't think your point 1 makes much sense, you can'yt expect BMW to have in stock a whole bunch of colour combos to suit different tastes. I'd expect them to have cars with a decent number of options so people are exposed to the tech etc but who really cares about colours when you can swap and change colours?
