Yeah it's an odd one for many of us, but we've no idea how long they have owned the car from or their circumstances, a friends father has a 991 GTS he's owned it for 3 years and put 6000 miles on it, but spends a lot of time abroad makes no sense to me but plenty do it.

I watched a detailing video last night it was a Honda NSX with 2000 miles on it that had sat in the guys barn for 20 years never moving, madness!

M4 CS is a wonderful car, I really rate them, they are much more than the sum of their parts over the standard M4 Comp. I probably will at some point have another.

Mine didn't work out though and had spun crank hub, and got rejected, which brings me onto its Achilles heel, the S55 was not BMW's finest hour!

S55 was a great lump (if you can get past that it is a lump) I did 90,000 trouble free miles in mine.

I get it, completely!
I don't buy cars to drive them anymore. I just like pretty cars. I would be happier looking at it and polishing it in my garage than actually going anywhere in it.

I think it's like having a 'real life' wall poster. When I was a kid my bedroom walls were crammed with posters of cars (and bikes). I never dreamed I may be in a position to own any of them one day. Now, finally, I am in a position to own something a bit 'special' so it would be just that....'special' which means not getting it all dirty and wearing it out!

Helps with resale value too!

Yeah understandable when you put it like that, I should have said I couldn't afford to do it rather than wouldn't

They have a lot of issues, Camshaft carrier alignment, crank hub, turbos and its a rubbish sounding engine.

90k trouble free is good going though!
