F30 335i N55 (PWG) feels low on power

I bought a 2012 BM3 Stage 2 tuned 335i yesterday, upgrading from an E60 525i. Although the car is definitely faster than my previous, it feels low on power. It is a RWD and has some pretty bald tyres which may be affecting the times. The previous owner claims to have a VRSF catless downpipe, VRSF FMIC, VRSF charge pipe, Injen intake and GFB diverter valve. He also claims it’s Stage 2 tuned with a tuned transmission. However, I did some 0-100 times with them coming up around 7 seconds and I did a race from 0-100 km with a friends stock 2016 330i B48 with him actually coming ahead by half a car length. I’m wondering what could be causing such issues and if I should go back to stock tune and retune it myself at a tuner or get my own BM3/MHD license. For the mods I was expecting low 5s/ high 4s. Was thinking sparks, coils and a high pressure fuel pump or potentially also looking for a boost leak. 7 second 0-100 should not be stock N55 territory, let alone tuned. FYI, car also randomly shut off today while driving and wouldn’t start but would crank for about 3 minutes which leads me to believe it may be a HPFP. Not sure how that could affect the performance by so much though.

I'd pull codes to check, but it sounds like maybe that isn't actually tuned? If tires slip, you will get throttle cut and loss of power. Running sport+ is the best bet since it will allow wheel spin.

As for 0-100 times, a stock 335 is around 5.1, so I'd expect low 4's if it really has those mods.

What does the idrive say for HP/TQ readings? Thats the most basic way to check for a tune. I would also wager its not tuned. It wouldnt make sense for them to sell you the car with BM3 on it and not transfer the license? If its still installed on the car he can't sell it separately.
