Water on gran coupe door outer edge of sill
I see water on the outer edge even in a light rain and when I wash my car
No wet carpet or anything like that Is it normal. Happens on all 4 door identicaly [IMG][/IMG] |

Yes. Look where your weatherstripping is and it will tell you it's normal.

If it were on the "inner sill" where your plate is, then no, it wouldn't be normal as I just had this fixed. (Prius sideswiped me, repair was not complete) They called it the "moisture barrier" or "secondary seal" when they called to notify me and ever since, my lighted sill plates have been dry as a bone.

get a small blower to get the water out of those cracks after washing your car. this one has worked well for me to get water out of the inside of door jams/gas cap/mirrors/etc. and the tip is soft rubber so it won't scratch the paint if it touches your car by mistake. just aim it at all of the crevices and then dry the rest of the car like normal.
