Do you have pics of your install? Do you like the braking performance? |

My car is sitting in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, so I have no pics. Also no idea about the braking, because I haven't driven the car.
Others will know better than I. |

We haven't done a set of big brakes on the F30/F32 yet but the difference between a Brembo big brake kit and the stock 4 series brakes is massive. Brembo's kits come with stainless steel brake lines and their own pads so on top of improved stopping power and extremely high resistance to fade, you would also get much better feel and it is easier to modulate the brake pedal precisely.
The BMW M Performance kit is a good upgrade over stock, anyone who managed to order the kit with their car got a great deal but at $2,000+ for a retrofit, I would personally go all the way with Brembo. Brembo manufactures a lot of OEM components including a lot of the OEM brakes on BMWs but they always leave a lot of room for their aftermarket GT kits to improve over anything they offer through BMW or any other manufacturer. |

We got the BMW M Performance brakes on our F31. We originally ordered it with the M-sport brakes but due to availability and scheduling for our European Delivery, they could not get the M-sport brakes on. Instead, we got the M Performance brakes for a killer deal. They're basically the same components from what I've been reading - no earth shattering differences.
From a braking performance standpoint, in comparison to the brakes you get on an F31 M-sport (not the M-sport brakes, just the brakes that come on the M-sport packaged cars - confused yet?), I wouldn't say it's a huge difference. In fact, I believe the pad sizes are the same, and the rotor sweep area is the same. With the short stint I had the wagon on the Ring, the brakes that came on the factory M-sport package were adequate on street tires if you're not really fast. A more aggressive pad compound would make a way bigger difference than going from the stock brakes to the M-sport or BMW Performance brakes IMO.
