Radar Detector and Tint

Would having tint put on my front and rear windows (35% - huper optic, if i do get it) interfere with the operation of a Valentine 1 Radar Detector, i was told it only bocks UV but i iv read that the Blue Strip on the top of some car's windshields causes interference..

Huper Optik is ceramic tint. Shouldn't have any issues there...never heard about that strip across the windshield however...Would be interesting to know.

35% seems quite dark for a front windsheild.

it says metallic tints are harmful for radar detectors.
i can understand problems with laser by why radar performs lesser with tint

Heh, should tint the headlights, so the cop's laser signal isn't as strong on the return. (Or use that film for it... whatever it's called.)

Go with formula one pinnacle series. It's high quality ceramic tint and cheaper than huper optik. I have it on my car and my valentine one works like a charm.
