High milage 330D?
I have a high milage 330D (170k miles) which has had a few mods. EGR delete, DPF delete, meth injection and a custom remap. Also done a swirl flap delete as i was cleaning out the inlet manifold. Never had it dyno’d but i assume it’s around the 310bhp mark.
Change the oil every 10k miles and use Millers 5w30. Along with air filter and fuel filter of course. Getting to the point where i want to do some preventative maintenance. I am going to do a gearbox service but is there anything engine wise which should be done? Thanks |

I would change oil more often, 8k miles max. The bottom end is not as reliable as it was on M57.
Engine chain should be replaced at that mileage. I would do crank bearings aswell if you are planning to keep it for longer. I had a similiar setup with similiar mileage and crank bearings were already worn a bit, conrods were fine. |
