Anyone on here endurance racing a F30 335i or even the 435i. If so would you mind sharing any perspectives?
Looking to potentially build one - n55 engine with zf auto to race NASA, AER and WRL. B58 is also in consideration price point right now is a bit too much for now. Aside from the basics eg brakes, oil, tires, some coding are there any other major weaknesses or watch outs to consider? I know in the e82 1 series cooling was a huge weak point. Based on forum topics nothing seemed too concerning. Thanks for any input! |

If you do some additional reading, N55s have some serious oil starvation issues when tracking on the stock oiling system. I believe there are solutions (some from the OGM2?) for the pickup/baffles/etc. but that means some serious work before ever really getting the car out on track.
The B58 seems to be pretty much track ready out of the box (atleast when it comes to not grenading itself during sustained hard cornering). So entry cost may be a bit higher, it may be quite similar to put them both on the track safely.
