Mx40i vs x40i prefix motor differences?
What are the differences in power output between the 'M' prefix b58 cars due to? They seem to claim 380ish vs the regular x40i cars which claim 320 ish?
Is it just the tune or are there more differences? |

There is more differences. If you check YouTube, there was a video explaining the variants of the B58 engine and what changed between first gen B58, 2nd gen, and M.

Gen 2's are deemed to be better in terms of making power due to the revisions made internally. As stated they make more power out the box and I think they have more potential on stock internals for max bhp.
I own a Gen 1and I'm not planning on making 800whp so in grand scheme of things, it shouldn't matter too much for me personally. A stage 2 tune or at the very most a set of hybrids will be enough. |
