Bumper impact strips?

The painted bumpers of my previous two cars both collected nicks and chips from regular driving, of course, and I plan to look into a clear bra soon. But I don't know if that will be enough. At work I park on a major street, and while I get there early, all day long there are cars leaving and forcing their way into spots. I know some of the nicks came from dummies who backed into my front bumper or edged forward into my rear bumper.

So it occurs to me that a simple black (carbon fiber or rubber) rub strip, one in the center and farthest-projecting area of each bumper, might not be a bad idea. There are lots of them on the 'Net, some a good 15" long. The trick would be to get them level and centered, and to find the part of the bumper that projects out the farthest.

Have any of you done something like this? Any experiences?

BumpTek makes a very good bumper protector. I had this on my last car when I had to park in a very tight parking lot in downtown everyday. It protected my car, and I found it to be the least offensive looking product. They come in different lengths, but this is one of them:

I put one of these on the front, to protect the bumper and to keep the plate from being all bent out of shape:

Pretty it ain't, but it looks a lot better than a bashed bumper.

Not very effective if you don't have a front plate...

I can go measure the width of the 328's rear bumper. I don't think it would fit on the front, though; the front bumper is not as smooth. Looks good.

There's also this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/JoyTutus-Bump...-1-spons&psc=1 Two smaller strips. They're about 11" long. If I bought four, I could put three on the front bumper, one to each side (making sure to miss the sensors) and one in the center. That might make the car look as if it has a mustache, though.

These are longer, but look really cool: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MPZ4D62...a-3de5c1f8c63d One on each side of the bumper, curving around; what do you think?
