Interesting question... At first blush, you would think the answer is no. However, I just had a BBK installed and my car was out of alignment afterward. I'm not sure how this happened but I know it was not out of alignment before the install.

I installed my mperf brakes and I can't see why you would need to. You don't touch any suspension components. MAYBE if you had a hard time w the front rotors but I think that's stretching it..

The installer said the same thing you did; a bbk install would not cause an alignment problem. We checked the alignment after install and, sure enough, it was way off. The installer said I must have hit a pot hole before the install. Yeah, ok... The reality is my car drive dead straight before the install. After install, it pulled moderately to the right and the steering wheel was off to the right. Something happened during the install...whether it was a stuck rotor or something else.
