F30 M performance side skirts sticker
Got my 328i M sport for a month, everything's fine except for a few minor defects (eg., noise coming from interior parts)
Starting to retrofit a few M Performance parts on it. - side mirror caps (OEM) - rear spoiler (OEM) - side skirts (genuine) - foot pedals (genuine) - kidney grills (purchased, not yet installed) - gear shift knob (purchased, not yet installed) After installing the side skirts, I found that the effect is not obvious. Maybe it's missing the sticker. But i don't want the colourful logo. Just thinking of doing it DIY with some 3M sticker. Try to make a PS to see if it's worth a try. What do you think? since u already have the side skirts, u should add the front as well, to balance it out.
I'm also planning to do the same thing just Vinyl sticker without the M performance wording. |

Thanks Lotuselise for your advise.
But the look of the front lip is very aggressive. Seems not too suitable for me use the car as daily driving to work. By the way, I want to vinyl the roof to black. |

i vinyl with matte black stickers. Not premium 3M ones (w/ protective coating)
But i did it for free. So just try and see how long it can last. So far I'm really happy with the car (i drove an A4 2.0TQ before the bimmers) But how can i get rid of the squeaks and noise from the interior finish... It will take it to service immediately once it pass 12,000km for regular check. |

You did a good job and I like the look overall. I think one challenge with blacking out the side skirts is that it makes the ride height look higher than normal since it creates the impression of additional "negative space".

Yeah agree, exactly why I'm painting the M Perf Aero side sills body colour on mine -- this will increase the overall side height marginally also -- a nice athletic look imo.

Yes, i share the same view with you. It need to have some sunlight to reflect the outline of the perf side sills. Under dim lighting, the ride do look raised.
My next target is the m-perf brakes. Saw it in showroom (a full opt F30 w/ M-perf parts) and looks damn good. Anyone knows if there's significant improvement? |

No improvement at all for u cos u already have M-sport brakes. The only difference is the slotted rotors & if u really want them (I'd save the money instead) u can just order the 4 discs for retrofitment.

The H&R Sport Springs are magic with the adaptive M Suspension. I have DHP and the sport springs and the ride is absolutely perfect now. Less body roll, and no annoying fender gap. And comfort levels are the same as stock.

Nice! I wish I could do my 5's side like that. The OEM for 5 is $500 bucks. Way too much for some stickers IMO.
