Digital Diesel Tuning Systems for all BMW's

All Diesel Tuning Systems supplied by DTUK® contain DIGITAL technology and are fully adjustable. High performance processors are used that facilitate the detailed real-time scanning of the ignition maps without influencing the internal protection function.

Increases of up to 40% in power and torque, and up to a 20% improvement in fuel economy are achievable as well as a reduction in CO2 emissions helping you to save money and reduce your carbon footprint.

We only use Original equipment connectors which enable easy fitting in minutes and can be removed at any time. Oncethe system is removed your vehicles engine is automatically reverted to factory settings and there are no traces left behind. Its as if its never been there at all.

DTUK® systems can be re-programmed to fit many other applications if you change your current car, if youre present system isnt suitable for your new vehicle we will offer you a brand new specific system for your new vehcile at a reduced price.

DTUK® tuning systems are TUV approved and CE certified and come with a 3 year Replacement product warranty and 24 hour technical support


A little about us.....

DTUK®, or to give us our full name of Diesel Tuning UK LTD, was formed in UK 2005 by our Managing Director, Andrew Pawley. He saw a gap in the market for a no nonsense approach to diesel tuning and offer the UK consumers one of the best diesel tuning systems on the market without the premium price tag. This all came about after he purchased a 3.0V6 CDTI Vauxhall Vectra 177PS during 2004, after trying tuning boxes from other companies without any success, and seeing that most "manufacturers" claiming to make boxes in the UK were basically buying boxes from anywhere and passing them off as their own..

One thing we don't claim is to make the hardware, (the actual tuning boxes), we're supplied by and work closely with one of Germany's longest established Diesel Tuning Box manufacturers, and over the last 5 years have been involved in the development of various applications. In fact the majority of the software we use here at DTUK in unique to ourselves which has been developed in house by Andrew himself.

We've recently just moved into our new 1,000 sqft premises, which is a 1,000 times improvement from our humble beginnings. We're open 6 days a week, so if you're in the area then please pop in for a coffee or a chat, or both.. We charge for neither.

We're confident that DTUK® is the only company in today's market place that offers 24 hour telephone and email support for all customers, in fact 9/10you'll probably speak to Andrew himself as he has a very hands on approach to the business. At this point youre probably asking, "Whats the difference between the Green and the Red?"

The answer is "Nothing, apart from the colour of the rubber, and the way we market the systems".

Internally both modules are called the CR module, the Green as ive mentioned is marketed as a fuel saving system which makes it insurance and accountant friendly.. An invoice for a Fuel Saving System, looks a lot better than a Diesel Tuning Box to your accountant..

The Common Rail CRD2 Multimap Digital Plug and Play Diesel Tuning System from DTUK is available for most Common Rail diesel engines and improves power and torque by upto 40%.

This system contains surface mounted electronics and an on board micro processor which we load with vehicle specific software that has been tailored to your make and model of car.

Upto 50+bhp increase and better fuel economy is possible with this system depending on your vehicle, and driving style

We use Original equipment connectors which enable easy fitting in minutes, not hours meaning that the system can be removed at any time. Once the system is removed your car reverts back to factory settings, leaving no traces behind.

Four individual tuning maps which are specific to your vehicle are placed into the memory of the system before despatch. The reason behind this is that every driver has their own unique style, and we feel that at least 1 of the 4 maps will suit the driver and their vehicle.

This means optimal matching of all control parameters at every level of performance.
This is possible through the use of high performance processors that facilitate the detailed real-time scanning of the original software without influencing the internal protection functions of your engine.

A further novelty of the CRD2 is the ability of the systems to adapt to the individual characteristics of your vehicle. Over a short running-in period, the memory function detects the individual data for the differing fuel injection cycles. The information gained in this way provides the basis for the optimisation. The tolerances are then balanced and an optimal result is achieved

This system uses different electronics, and can actually be reprogrammed to be used on certain turbo charged petrol cars like the new 1.6 Turbocharged Mini, and Fiat 1.4 T-JET.

This system was initially introduced approximately 3 years ago, and in that time it has been upgraded several times (as have all the other systems too).

With this system we have greater control through the rev range, which allows us to tune various "awkward" vehicles that the single map CR system would not. In tests in the past the CRD2 has produced more power and torque than the RED/GREEN and certainly has a kick around about the 2,000 revs..

The only CRD2 Rolling Road Graph i can find at this moment in time is for an Audi 3.0TDI..

Lastly is the latest addition to the DTUK Range of Digital Diesel Tuning Systems, our CRD-T 2 Channel Common Rail and Turbo Boost System



The CRD-T has been developed for the customer who wants the ultimate tuning system available in todays market place, this system is an evolution of the CRD2 with the added benefits of being able to control boost settings.

Unlike our other common rail modules, GREEN, RED, CRD2, that only connect to the common rail pressure sensor, the new CRD-T also connects to the turbo pressure sensor, allowing us to control and increase the boost settings. This results in an even smoother power delivery, and even lower emissions and even more power and torque.

I forgot to mention that im after a couple of guinea pigs

Preferably 4 cylinder 320d, both 163PS and 177PS..

What ive done over the last 5 years is optimised the german software for the UK market, id started with the CRD-T software on my 335d and continued this with Tom aka Notnormal yesterday..

Im sure he will be along shortly to post this feelings/findings on the CRD-T we added to his 335d yesterday, moreso after he tried the CRD first of all..

Anyway guys, if any of you with either 163PS or 177PS 320d fancies a drive up to Durham to test our systems, plus use the time to optimise the software for the new CRD-T then please drop me a pm

If you do take the time out, and decide to purchase system then we will discount the system down to the bare bone...

The only 35d engine weve had rolling roaded was an X5 in Norn Iron, this produced an extra 55bhp and 90lbft of torque.


Im hoping to rolling road my own 2009 335d within the next few weeks, this would include running the CRD2 and CRD-T on the rollers..

From my own personaly experience, and of that of my other half (shes running the CRD-T on the Leon), the CRD-T is a lot smoother and pulls all the way through the rev range.

On tests on the Astra's there is less smoke, (not that there was much anyway) and more mid range pull..

Im hoping Tom will pop along shortly and post his own take on the 2 boxes he tested yesterday..

Yes, yesterday i popped ooop north away and had afew back to back test/compairsons of the CRD2 and the CRD-T

Having already owned a CRD2 i kinda new what i would be expecting, basicly a marked improvement over stock but an almost wooley feel to the power delivery.
They are a very good opition, and i'd hoped that the next box, CRD-T, would provide me with an even bigger increased feel to the power.....


.....sadly, this was not the case.....


....It was MUCH better than i could have hoped for.

After fitting the CRD-T and then trying each of the 4 maps, with tweak or two here and there i have ended up coming home with it still attached to my car.
The power delivery feels like stock, but more of it and crisper. Controlling both the boost and fuel it just has a huge, relentless shuv of power from any and all of the rev ranges.

The car feels almost remapped (ECU), not tuning boxed at all !

I have had several cars, all remapped, running both live mapped and generic maps on both petrol and diesel and this CRD-T really delivers - for the money they are too, very versatile.

Worth considering if your looking for a power upgrade.

I'd like to get my car on the rollers ASAP, but funds are dedicated else ware at the moment - but for those that are firmilar with VBox and what they do i shall borrowing my friends and running with and with CRD-T tests for compairson.

Thankyou to Andrew for you time, and listening to me (i'm a fussy anal tw@t and things have to be right).

Having had a CRD box on my last car, I can say all of my dealings with Andrew have been postive, and have always found him willing to help and provide advice.
The CRD box in my last car made a big difference to power and torque (proven on rolling road)
If my car didnt already have a remap I would be speaking with Andrew.

Looking forward to seeing the RR results on the beemers

I can also highly recommend Andrew/DTUK as I've been using their units for the last 2 and a half years. I first started with a green box in an 07 Astra 1.9Tdi and now I run a CRD2 in a 57 E91 325D which makes a difference.

Anyway, I quite like the sound of the new unit are you doing any trade ups/part exchanges for an upgrade to a CRD-T?

we dont offer any px's but do offer existing customers systems at trade rates, we already offer E90Post members discounts of upto £80.00 per system so i have very little left. Im sure if you gave me a call i could sort something on a CRD-T

Weve just fitted our first CRD-T dual channel system to a 5er 2.0 litre 163PS...

Now dyno figures, just a very excited Londoner...
