rom e90 to F30, How hard is it to find a sport package with GPS?
Hello,
Im in the market for an f30 after totalling my e90. I looked a lot and found the interior of the sport package one, my budget is $15,000 and under 70k miles. Is it possible to find one for this price, is the mileage fair to not expect many repairs? and how hard is it to find sport package under 15k and 70k miles. Ive only found a few but they have more miles and not the right color. Also, what to expect from en f30 coming from e90? Thanks all! |

https://www.autotempest.com/results?...domesticonly=1 By "sport" if you mean the M Sport package, probably not gonna find them that cheap yet. Sportline might be attainable. And you're for sure shopping a 4-cylinder (328/320), 335s are out of that price/mileage range. As far as differences, F30 is bigger, both in exterior dimensions and interior space. Tech is obviously upgraded, depending on what your E90 is equipped with. Steering will feel way lighter (and most people say worse); a result of F30s having the much-bemoaned but currently ubiquitous electronic power steering vs. the hydraulic assist in the E90. Interior is (subjectively) nicer in the F30. In stock form, the F30 will have more body roll and not feel as buttoned down, generally speaking, compared to the E90, but can be fixed with the right suspension/chassis mods. That said, the F30 is overall a more comfortable place to be, imo.

F30 is mostly superior to E90 except for a few things. But two major differences which affect the driving feel are 1) Steering rack: It is electric and it feels nothing like E90 3) 4 cyl Turbo: It's not as smooth and linear as straight 6. Get 335 if you can. Just my 2 cents |

I have both a e90 and a f30 and the interior of the f30 is more welcoming and more roomy. Plus, f30 I-Drive 4.0 is far superior than my e90’s 2.0 obviously. As others have mentioned, the f30 is bigger overall and suspension feels too soft. Maybe I should stop being lazy and get those H&R SS springs installed. However, IMHO my e90 drives better and feels like a go cart, though now it’s the garage queen. Funny how I traded my old f30 328i for my e90 and now I’m Back in another f30. Best of both worlds I guess. Question is do you want n20/n26 or the n55? Aside from sport package, auto or manual? Keep searching locally but you may have to travel to get the one you want. |
