Hi all, Im ready to pull the trigger and hopfully push to a safe 650WHP,

i was going to go full frame (walton) / GT35 kit but for every day use its overkill and im already invested in a nice intake / DP so stock location would be cost effective.

iv always heard great things about Pure Turbos but dont like the idea of the stock exhaust housuing as it will be a limiting factor when pushing more boost.

I have found the Dynamic auto works turbos for sale on Performamce M,
on paper these look amazing as they reduce back pressure and obviously flow better,

BUT.... the internet says they have a fair few that have failed over the years inclouding a couple of youtubers,

They look great but these horror stories give me the sh1ts especiallly with warranty support being over seas as im uk based

anyone out there using one with good news ??

From what I've researched, Pure and DAW are great choices for stock location turbos. Tons of people are running the Pure800 with good results. That would be the one in the Pure lineup to get you to 600-650whp.

Conversely, I've had at least one reputable tuner say they would heavily favor DAW over Pure... DAW's Ultra-Flow X would be a good option if you're running an ethanol blend. If you're running lower octane pump gas, you might want to go with their 6769. If you are running pump gas, I would email DAW and see what they recommend. I'd also sanity check that and ask a few tuners what they recommend from the DAW lineup as well.

Re: the videos - the first one, if I'm remembering correctly, that guy installed the turbo himself and then drove it to a shop to get tuned. He did a few pulls before it was tuned properly and apparently that's a big no-no.

mike@x-ph.com can you please tell these guys which turbo seems to have significantly less failures despite the people who will reply saying the other brand has them and you should buy ths brand they run?
