BMW Insured Warranty renewal

It's that time of year when my BMW Insured Warranty is up for renewal. It's cost £447 for the past couple of years (comprehensive, roadside assistance, £250 excess) with this year's renewal coming in at £484 for an annual payment or £53 per month.

Anyone know if they still increase the price once the car exceeds 60,000 miles? It's currently on around 53k so I'll hit 60k before next year's renewal. I seem to recall others suggesting to switch to a monthly payment before the car hits 60k as the monthly payments are fixed. Anyone know if this is still the case?

If this is the case, presumably I can buy the annual policy now, then before I hit 60k cancel it for a pro-rata refund (the policy documents suggest I can do this), and then take out a rolling monthly plan?

Cheers

Suspect you'll need to speak to someone at BMW UK if you want to change from annual to monthly - I wouldn't cancel the policy at all personally, unless I had an email from them, as they make it clear once cancelled and out of warranty even for a day, they have no obligation to renew your extended warranty.

No idea re 60k miles, however am pretty sure your warranty goes up on the car's tenth birthday, because it moves from a BMW warranty to an Allianz insured policy.

Yes, it is Allianz.

I renewed mine at about 58,000 miles in January to continue from an AUC warranty on my 335xD, and it was £58/month for Comprehensive, £100 excess, European Roadside Assistance.

There was only about £2/month between the £100 excess and the £250 excess, but £10/month extra for £0 excess.

The Insured warranty premium on my previous F33 was £545 (with £250 excess and breakdown cover) and at renewal the mileage was 90k miles or thereabouts, so the price doesn't increase dramatically over 60k miles.
