Replacing steering wheel and coding in LIM?
Hi all
I've currently got this type of wheel I wish to replace it with Alcantara M-sport type (without flappies) - looks better and I don't like the cheap feeling of my current wheel. Two questions: 1) Is the swap possible considering they are completely different types of wheel? 2) I currently have SET on my old steering wheel, is it possible to code LIM which would work with the new wheel? I've got a manual with no flappies. Many thanks |

i coded in LIM on my steering wheel (its the one you currently have). It replaced the SET button to act like the LIM button. Had to get used to setting cruise a different way (using the toggle). It was under there coding guide 1.7 version. There were some option variables that didn't exist on my F30 in the coding, but i set the ones that did and it works great. Especially in school zones and/or speed cameras.
