They really broke up and merged the Driver's Assistance Package + Parking Package.
Now it's: ZDA Driver Assistance Package ZDB Driver Assistance Plus

Yeah, I wasn't planning on getting the Driver Assistance Package, but I do want the Parking Package....looks like I'll have to get ZDA now.

Navigation system is also a stand alone option for $2,150.
This is $950 less than Tech Package. It does not include: 6NR BMW Apps 610 Head-up Display 6NF Smartphone Integration

I don't see Adaptive M Suspension (2VF) as a stand-alone option. Does that mean I can only order Adaptive M suspension with the variable sport steering as the Dynamic Handling Package?
What if I just want the adaptive M Suspension without the variable sport steering? |

Sorry if this is a dumb question...Since these prices are not effective until July 1, 2012, could I still order a 2012 model on say June 30, 2012? I'm waiting for my Drive for Team USA event in June so I can't order until then and with my desired configuration, it would be much cheaper to get a 2012 rather than a 2013.

Was back and forth on it for a long while for MY12. But this split for MY13 makes me say Yup!

I take back everything bad I said...finally standard options befitting a luxury car...don't really know why xDrive owners are paying the same for Sport and MSport as RWD owners and don't get the sport suspension though

XDrive buyers should be pretty happy about that! We won't get a 10mm drop like the RWD version, but at least the new F30 xDrive is exactly the same height as the non-sport RWD F30. |

I'm not sure I quite get your reasoning. My next car "purchase" will be a lease. Are you suggesting that no one should lease a 2013, but instead lease a 2012 and buy 2013 or just according to the OP's situation? In addition, would the price spread between the 2012 and 2013 be that significant to go from one purchasing option to a totally different one? Just need more clarification.

thats dumb, unless the residuals on the 2013 take a dive(which they wont) get the 2013, if didnt desperately need a car, i would have waited for the 2013, but i will probably just lemon my car and get a new one lol

Wow. There's much less of a reason to get the premium package.
Auto-dim mirrors, power seats, garage door openers are all standard; not to mention the xenon de-coupling. If it was me, I would certainly pass on the premium package and spend the money elsewhere The Anthracite Wood trim would look nice in the sport line also...but that's extra. All-in-all, I think BMW did a great job with balancing the new offerings without making the MY12 3ers regret anything I'm absolutely happy with my MY12 and I don't feel taken advantage off or anything. (well, maybe the split-folding seats would've been nice) |
