ive always been a fan of the G sedan and coupe. Not quite feeling this Q50 though, specifically the nose and overstyled foglights and c-pillar. everything else is okay, although it seems more luxury than sport.

A few people have said the interior is bad. Specifically, what is wrong? Personally, I am not a fan of the steering wheel other than the quality looks good. What am I missing?

They (the competition) have finally gotten less shy are literally copying the BMW
Quote:
and the front menacing look of the bmw is replicated in their own sauce... TBH, the infinity is growing on my, it's a good descent acceptable quality product. I would even go as far to say it might be a better build than our F30. Now, before you go and label me as a traitor, please continue to read: I haven't abandon BMW ship yet... Competition is good, good so that BMW doesn't stay on its laurels. So now we got ATS, Q50, IS, and soon a replacement C-Class which are not only putting on the pressure but also the heat on our Favorite car... If we are satisfied with our F30, i dont see how we cannot be satisfied with the new comers... (aside from esthetic which is a subjective matter) but even than, Cadillac, Infinity and Lexus have done a great job at copying and yet kept things familiar enough that all these cars could be cousins ! :P

definately a good looking car, cant really agree with you about F30 or E90 but KIA did make a big leap forward from their previous models

all i can say is that people would be pretty amazed at how my FX50 handles and the steering feel, etc. if it werent for the fact that ive put so many miles on that car the V8 fuel consumption, i'd keep that thing forever. |

The Q's slowly growing on me. Its a given that the Q50 will be around $10-12k less than a comparably equipped 3er, and Infiniti won't have a hard time finding buyers who value performance/handling, but would like to keep some of the cash to themselves.
If you've driven a current g37, you will know that it is very close to the 3er in almost every respect. Not 10/10th, but close. With the price advantage - who knows. |

The Q interior doesn't look very different compared to the G - so not sure what buttons/similarity to Altima you are referring to. In fact, I can see a number of buttons/items that seem to be carryover from the G - which itself is not bad.
The one thing I was hoping for was better fuel economy with some additional power - but looks like Infiniti chose to use the exact same engine (unless I am misinformed), so that's a bit of a downer. |

They are going the Acura way - losing the best known brand name in the series, and going for a new, more confusing nomenclature. Wonder who the genius was so decided this. |

1. The BMW is just a better looking car. 2. The interior was better. 3. I had an AWESOME deal on a used one. That said, the Infiniti G37 sedan was a GREAT car! Besides a few nit-picks here or there, the car was solid. It had its advantages and disadvantages. I hear a lot of fan-boys out there that remind me of the SNES/Genesis "war" back in the day. Good times. Anyways, don't count out Infiniti. If they increased the quality of the interior, you will have yourselves a great #2 in the market, and most people don't need a #1 car to be satisfied, especially when it comes down to saving a few thousand dollars. |
