I've read many reviews on CAIs, none of which give any real hp & tq gains under real test conditions. We/they all wish for some performance gains to be the case, but it's not true. 2 examples: Take a look at Terry's 3rd comment. http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18786 Scroll down to Intake http://www.europeancarweb.com/tech/e...2012_bmw_328i/

The makers of the intake have a horse in the race to show gains on the dyno. I wait for someone who is impartial to dyno and confirm. That EC article above confirms gains for the dp, for the tune and not one for an intake. The oems have gotten much better with exhausts and intakes. The stock exhaust is 3" and fairly straight...the stock intake is pretty good too, I bet it only becomes and issue at like 350whp lol.

OR...maybe you would like an intake because of the sound it creates. This BMW is never really going to be a fast car, I accept that, might as well hear the blow off then.

yeah after the jb1.. this car kinda kicks major ass.. LOL. esp when stage 2 comes out, game over. I have an ISF and this car is pretty fun to drive as well, the f30 has low end torque.

So basically all these performance shops that claim x hp/tq (and lying about) for their products can be sued for false advertising?

Nope, they will claim that dynos vary and many variables affect performance.
