Ok, so the consensus does not appear to be DHP as I was wondering. I have HK, Side & Top Cameras, Leather Dash and Navigation. I was really wondering if DHP is worth the upgrade over M-sport suspension. There are many posts about this topic and my head just about explodes trying to read them all. I think I will just pocket the 1 grand and live without DHP and HUD….. unless convinced otherwise of course.

Tough choice but if I had to choose it would be HUD. After narrowing down to HK and HUD, I'm thinking I could improve the audio system after I own the car, where adding HUD is a bigger project.
Cameras at the bottom of the list with leather dash not far above.

You're getting a GC? Plan on having many passengers? If you have bad roads they will appreciate the comfort mode of DHP. Then when you're driving solo you can use sport mode. Just saying msport suspension might be a stiff bumpy ride depending on how good/bad the roads are. It's awesome being able to adjust it. 2 cars in 1. You should do some test drives.

I have all of the above except leather dash.
DHP is the no-brainer IMO. I set the drive according to mood and find I'm using comfort more than I would've expected. HUD works for me and i virtually never look at the speedo - must be a worthwhile safety feature. I do use the cameras all the time to prevent kerb rash. I'm continually annoyed that there is no front camera as high kerbs are deadly to the low bumper. Still, you do get an indication of proximity from the top down view and it is better than nothing. So far, I find the Harmon Kardon underwhelming. It sounds quite good when cranked up but has limited presence at lower volumes. Must investigate the settings and see if I can improve it with some tweaking. I'm a bit of an audio enthusiast at home but tend to listen to AM talk radio in the car so it's not a big deal either way. I haven't seen the leather dash in person and, while it looks OK in photos, it wouldn't be high on my want list. I'm more into premium surfaces where you touch them all the time and I'd be much more enthusiastic about having better quality leather on the seat facings. The dakota looks reasonable, especially in coral red but doesn't feel or smell like proper leather to me. I keep wanting the same leather that's on the M-sport steering wheel to be on the seats too. I love the way it doesn't cling or grab like the cheaper plasticky leathers. Besides all that, I really like the red lower dash - so I'd be highly unlikely to pay to remove that. Overall, therefore, my vote would be for the DHP. The basic driving experience is fundamental and the DHP allows me to set this according to road conditions, passengers considerations, mood etc. All these vary so much for me that any one setting would be quite limiting by comparison. |

DHP, heads up display is OK, mine didn't work well when wearing polarized sunglasses. Also check to see how much a new windshield costs there, up here (on my X5) a HUD windshield costs $1800 + install...

Dynamic Handling Package is great, comfort mode really goes softer on my M-Sport 435i than the settings of the static suspension and it really firms up in Sport and Sport Plus. It truly is the best of both worlds.
If you're getting DHP already, my next option would be the H/K Stereo. While the base stereo is okay as moderate levels, the H/K system is just fantastic at all volumes. |

I also had a similar question when ordering, I heard DHP is very worthwhile. So for me it was a tossup between HK and the HUD so I went with the HK. I value music over the very minimal convenience of not having to look at the speedo while driving.
