I was walking home from my neighborhood Starbucks this week and spotted an older Dodge pickup parked on the street. I've always admired the hood ornaments that adorned many cars of the past.

Another from the same night as the last pic. Mt Lemmon outside Tucson. This was on a night hike in search of the Sycamore Resevoir.

I feel like I'm "cheating" when I use my a9, and it's supposed to get even better, with the latest firmware update. Can't wait...

You two need to quit with the killer shots. I have more gear than I need and you're tempting me to buy more. Is the a9 really that good? Dump everything with a Canon label and move into the 21st century? (Not that I'm discounting the fact that both of you are stellar photographers.)

Look at this eagle shot my Canon-friend, Mike Reardon, took with a Sony RX-10: https://flic.kr/p/QKEBQM The one-inch sensor isn't the cat's meow in low light, or for large prints, but the AF system is pretty amazing. That's a $1700 system!!

I have the same aversion. I am lucky that my local brick and mortars buy used gear. Even though I take a bath on it, it's hassle free and fast, same reason I sell my used cars to CarMax. I have heard people are happy selling to B&H. Same deal, you lose a little, but at least you know you will get paid (or store credit).

This is I think the sharpest of the series. At least I know I have a couple of entries for this year's Audubon Calendar contest.
