Accelerator pedal is 100% from about 2500 RPM but Load Target only gets to where it should be by about 3000 RPM, then overshoots, boost spikes up to nearly 19PSI. I'd expect a Stage 1 tune to have Load Target to be at around 170 as soon as the pedal was 100%, hit 16 - 17 PSI and hold that pretty well flat through to redline. Apart from that the first run looks pretty good. I think it would get a nicer Timing transition and ramp without the boost spike. What fuel are you using?

I always have the car in Sport+ Manual shifting when logging and manually shift about 6300 - 6500 RPM

Also, what version are you running? i used to get boost spikes, but v2.0 fixed it for me. You also have some timing pull on cyl 1. My logs show the same thing. I tried regapping my stock plugs to 0.022" and it helped. You can also try getting fuel from a different gas station to see if the one you used is just lower quality. |

What’s the advantage to doing that? I log same but once the rpm goes past 6k I flip back to drive them back to Sport on the shifter to let the computer do the shifting.

The fastest gear changes with xHP Stage 3 are in that mode and at the drag strip I've found fastest ET and MPH changing just after 6000RPM with stock turbo.

I'll try a different Station and I have new plugs sitting in the counter that need to go in... any issues with that knock?

i think we have something over cylinder 1 that could be affecting timing. i've read that the pcv is over cylinder 1, so that can affect timing due to blow by. but i need to do more research to see if that's really the case. |

I paid justing whitted (twisted tuning) $425 like 3 months ago for email tune. Im running mhd with jb4 backend flash. As of recently im getting a misfire. I step on the pedal and suddenly an incredibly loud pop occurs and i lose power. I read codes and it says cyl 5 and cyl 2 are misfiring. I changed my plugs before tuning and ive been going back and forth with him increasing boost and such. I dont run meth, and i dont get any of this. I use shell 93 if that means anything and im scared that ive been scammed. Can i forward the whole email list to someone knowledgeable and see if maybe you guys could help? I can provide a misfire log or anything else, please just someone help?

Everyone has access to view this. Forgive my ignorance. This is a 3rd gear WOT pull from about 2800 to 6500 shifting to 4th with a misfire. It constantly happens under load and its very unpredictable. What is the limit for email tunes anyway?

Boost, AFR and Timing is all over the place. Maybe post up on n54tech forums where there's more JB4 MHD BEF experience?

If you wanna go faster increase octane and boost (Stage 2) and consider xHP for custom launch control and faster shifts. You should also try shifting manually at 6000 RPM for 3rd and 4th gears. Do you have access to E85? If so you should try adding some up to about 30% ethanol content, which would increase octane to about 98. The most recent Draggy shows a 60ft of 1.84 vs 1.76 at the track. 0.1 in the 60ft = 0.2 in the quarter

- You ran up hill - You short shifted second (I'd run out to 7k every time if that's possible) - Slower 60 ft as mentioned above will hurt your times - Not sure if draggy compensates for roll out that gives you a better time at the track I'm just speculating, but a flat road and roll out + better 60' could get you a 12.0. Logs don't look that bad, just the same timing pull on cyl 1. No knock. Did you swap plugs? Quote:
Things that I see in your log after some formatting - Timing is very low - Boost target is very high (20 psi) - You are overboosting (25+ psi) - Something weird is happening at 4200-4800rpm, your rpms go up and down and your throttle closes (clutch/tire slip?) Things to try - Can you post the datazap link? It'll be easier to translate the log data - Is there any way to log with higher resolution? Every 1.25s is not enough. - Is map 6 the right map for a backend flash and no meth? Can you run the backend flash with jb4 in map 0 or completely disconnected? - Pull your spark plugs and check them. Just because they're new doesn't mean they aren't the issue or at least help indicate what the issue is |

Tuner says my octane looks crappy.... how can I tell based on the charts? still need to swap the plugs and maybe find a good shell station.

What i do when looking for timing issues is hide all of the lines except for engine speed, throttle angle, and igntiong timing #1, #2, etc. It'll be pretty obvious if any of the cylinders are pulling timing. Pretty much all of them will follow the same pattern, then you'll see one cylinder drop below and begin climbing back up. A little timing pull from time to time isn't a big deal, it just means the car is doing what it's supposed to. But if it's consistent and more than 2-3 *, i'd start looking into ways to fix it. |
