Anyone have a how to - 428/430 single side exahust to dual exhaust?
Like the balance of the dual exhaust - getting ready to buy a diffuser and if I could somehow retro fit 435/440 muffler on to my 430 single side, I could get a regular diffuser instead of the single left exit one
assume someone has tried this?

Hey buddy, yeah I did this on my 428. I had the stock muffler replaced with a 335 muffler and picked up some BMS tips and had it welded at a local shop. Did the same as you and picked up the dual exhaust diffuser and love the way it looks!

That part number is for F30 from 2014 - 2019 rear section exhaust according to realoem.com I have it for a month with parts donated by a friend but I want more sound so I end up running AWE. BTW... don't get the early producr 335i exhaust 2013.... the hanger is a little short in the newer car. They probably made changes to the hanger location... unless you have time to weld an extension then best this is avoided. GL. Note: there is a thread here about this conversion. |

Did mine last week.
Had a 340i Catback system fitted to my 320i (b48). The interface to the Cat was slightly different so stock exhaust was cut just rearward of the connection to the Cat and then the 340i system was just welded on. Looks and sounds amazing for relatively low cost. |

Hey sorry man don't have any pics rn because I didn't take any of the car with the single side exhaust (or can't find any rn haha)
But check this thread out. Lots of people on this site have done it before https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1046748 What I did was purchased a -335i muffler ($70) without tips -435i dual tip diffuser from ebay (<$150) (side note: i think you need to have a M Sport car for this) or you can get one that fits your line -BMS tips ($50) Then when I took the car to a local welder around me, the process I followed was 1) remove old diffuser 2) cut off old muffler 3) install new diffuser 4) attach BMS tips 5) weld new muffler Definitely worth it! |

440 exhaust has single tip dual side exit. I'm guessing you want a big exhaust tip to fill it out😏 Last edited by Gen13 F36; 06-23-2020 at 01:53 PM.. |

Or you can have your exhaust shop put a Y pipe and no muffler
P.S. just seen that you're waiting for the 440 muffler but hey a muffler delete is always an option lol |

as promised!
3D Design Quad Diffuser - $600 435i exhaust - $150 (although I thought I bought the right one, it needed modification; so big thanks to Cody at Lou's Custom Exhaust in Marlboro, MA!) Shop labor (cut old muffler off, add new one, weld quad tips)- $600 purrs like a kitten still and looks fantastic! Debating on whether to paint the diffuser on the left and right side adn just leave the fins CF. Not sure yet
