I do agree that Harmon Kardon was a dealbreaker when I was looking for my car... that seemed like a massive PITA to retrofit aftermarket, not to mention pretty damn expensive.

Another thing I hugely regret is not buying my f30 with the m sport package... if looks don't matter to you then go for it, but if it does, it's so much easier to get an M sport. Conversions are possible but $$$ and lots of research/planning.

Expect to have to replace many of the plastic internal parts that will inevitably fail with higher mileage. You should be good from any catastrophic failures though if it's past the 2015 timing chain refresh.

I would personally pass, but it's all up to what you want.

The HK retro isn’t “that” bad. A little invasive if you count removing door cards. You can do a couple changes at the same time (eg sticky door pull replacements).

A trim pull tool, a couple Torx and Phillips screws and you’re well on your way to a nice decent sound upgrade.

You can also do the door trims with HK branding for the super vain.

I agree with waiting for the most fully optioned car. M-sport as a minimum.

I was thinking the same
I'm in Florida and if it was closer I'd snap it up. I spoke to them, they're open to an independent inspection and it could be delivered open on a truck for $1500
I've never purchased a car remotely before, writing and mailing a check or wire transfer for that much and sending it off makes me real nervous

I have been on a cross country trip and ended up out west. I decided to check this car out

Over all in good condition as described, they are open to inspection and it has two keys

When idling it shuddered twice as it was warming up, it didn't stall but done it after I opened and closed the sunroof. Coincidence maybe?

If all goes well thinking of shipping my car back home and driving the 430 on a nice road trip

No deposit yet
Haven't test driven it yet as it's the weekend and can not get it booked for an inspection

I do agree that it has me wondering why it has been sitting for a while, it could be its location but I wouldn't be surprised to find out there is something more lurking after inspection

I didn't see anything glaringly wrong with it but they are happy to have an inspection which is a good sign
